WindFree™ Cooling and Active Frequency Drive 10Hz

Enjoy continuous comfort and avoid wasting energy. The DVM S2 range is compatible with our WindFree™ products* that feature our unique WindFree™ technology to cool gently and quietly by dispersing fresh air through thousands of micro-holes to avoid any unpleasant cold drafts**. Active Frequency Drive 10Hz technology enables the compressor to precisely control a small amount of refrigerant. So it maintains a more consistent temperature.

Uses less refrigerant due to slimmer liquid line

Slimmer Liquid Pipe

Save installation cost with efficient piping. The DVM S2 uses 28% less refrigerant* as it can use a slimmer liquid pipe**. As a result, it reduces installation and maintenance costs and improves design flexibility. In addition, by using less refrigerant it is more environmentally friendly, as it reduces CO₂ emissions.

* When a slimmer pipe, instead of a normal pipe, is used for the Main Liquid Pipe on the same capacity of air conditioning system, the amount of refrigerant to be charged can be reduced by 28% on average.
** Optional. A slimmer pipe can be used for the Main Liquid Pipe, between an outdoor unit and the first branch of indoor units. The diameter of the slimmer pipe will vary depending on the diameter of the pipe that is normally used. Not available on the 22.4kW and 28kW models. Reduces the disturbance of fan noise

Multi-serration Fan & Diffuser Type Discharge Plenum

Reduce disturbance caused by air turbulence. A Multi-serration Fan* minimises the turbulence of the air vortex, which reduces the air resistance. The discharge plenum’s edgeless, curved design also allows the fan to gently diffuse air without creating a vortex**.

Lasting protection, optimal performance

Safeguard the Heat Exchanger from damaging corrosion. The Durafin™ Ultra has an anti-corrosive layer and a hydrophilic layer that protects the Heat Exchanger from rust. Its superb corrosion-resistance was proven in a Salt Spray Test (SST)*.

Anti-rust Protection extends lifespan

Galvanized Iron Steel Plate (GI)

Inhibit the formation of rust on the cabinet. It is made of Galvanized Iron Steel Plate (GI) with a PE powder coating that is up to 100µm thick, which improves corrosion-resistance by 43%*. It protects it from rusting, so it can endure harsh conditions.

* Based on internal testing using corrosion chambers, Q-FOG and CCT-1100. The Complex Cycle Test (CCT) includes cycles of spray (for 2 hours at 35°C), dry (for 4 hours at 60°C with 30% Relative Humidity) and damp (for 2 hours at 50°C with 95% Relative Humidity) conditions. As a result, the Galvanized Iron Steel Plate (GI) formed red rust after 240 hours, which is 43% slower than general Electro-Galvanized Steel Plate (EGI) which forms red rust after 168 hours.

The DVM S2 ensures that you always feel comfortably warm. It delivers reliable heating in extremely cold weather. Its upgraded base design helps drain condensed water quickly so it cannot freeze, and a base heater* melts any ice that forms inside.
