Let’s start with a story about the thief that snatched a bag at airport in in Spain in 1999.
HE MUST be the unluckiest thief in the world. Little that he knew, he took off with the bag of Larry Wade, a member of the United States athletics team, shortly after they had arrived in Seville for the World Athletics Championship.
Wade and his team-mate, Maurice Greene, the world 100 metres champion, saw the thief in action, then chased and caught him and retrieved the bag.
That brings us to two tips to remember:
1. Watch your luggage or bring world 100 metres champion as a friend
2. Keep your belongings close.
3. Be aware of pickpockets. In translation that means, don’t bring big amounts of cash with you and leave your documents in a room safe.
